The CUB starts on Friday 30th July, 7pm with a rally 'The Communist Challenge to Capitalism' with speakers from Britain, Greece, Cuba, India and South Africa.

Saturday 31st July first session is about 'The Battle of Ideas' and will include briefings and discussion on:

The social basis of racism and fascism
The commodification of sex
Marx and Engels on environmentalism
Brecht and political poetry
Historical revisionism, Holocaust denial and anti-communism
The Charter for Women

Saturday 31st July second session is about 'It's the political economy, stupid' and will include briefings and discussion on:

Women and public services
Tackling the power of the City
British imperialism, Africa and the food crisis
The Disunited States of Europe?

In the early evening followed by a 90th anniversary social is a 'Communist platform' which will look at CP programmes from the mid 1930s 'For a Soviet Britain' to Britain's Road to Socialism.

Sunday 1st August third session is about 'The Labour Movement and the working class' and will include briefings and discussion on:

Resisting anti union laws
Organising the unorganised
Youth, Work and unemployment
Trade unions and a sense of history
The People's Charter
A session led by the Coordinating Committee of Communist Parties in Britain

Sunday 1st August's fourth session is about 'The peoples against imperialism' .
